A VISIT TO ARPRIM

We went to visit an exhibition called Édition/Forme/Expérimentation put on by Colectif Blanc at Arprim. This was a wonderful opportunity to see what you can do with different kinds of printing and the kinds of art you can create through books. It was very helpful in showing examples and all the possibilities available for artist books. Before going to the exhibition I was a little lost in the realm of possibilities that "artist books" provided however the different pieces that we had a chance gave me a clearer understanding of how an artist book can convey a concept and message through the connection between the content and the design and binding of the book.

I particularly enjoyed the book on different places of prayer that are hidden titled Hidden Islam pictured below.
